 Dr. Gronbach is a Board Certified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon. He attended The University of California, Irvine and completed his undergraduate studies, receiving a Bachelor of Science degree. He then spent a total of eight years in Ann Arbor, Michigan earning his doctorate (D.D.S.) and receiving specialized training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Michigan Health System. Dr. Gronbach joined East Bay Oral Surgery in July 2000 and has since expanded the surgical services and techniques offered. Dr. Gronbach's training included surgical training in dentoalveolar, preprosthetic and reconstructive, implants, orthognathic, distraction osteogenesis, oncologic-head and neck, trauma, temporomandibular joint, and surgery for obstructive sleep apnea.
Dr. Gronbach believes in giving back to his profession and community. He has been an active member on the Board of Directors for the Contra Costa Dental Society since 2002, previously serving the positions of district representative, and as chair of the ethics committee. More recently, he has ascended the offices of the executive committee and he is currently serving out his term as the President of the Society. He regularly participates in the Just One and Give Kids A Smile programs, aiding those less fortunate to receive badly needed dental care. And he feels privileged to serve the residents of Contra Costa and surrounding counties by continuing to offer emergency services as a member of the on-call trauma team at John Muir Health System.

In his personal time, Dr. Gronbach enjoys time with his family, traveling, and dining out. Dr. Gronbach is married to another dentist, Dr. Jennifer Gronbach. They have a five year old son named Benjamin.
